I wish I believed I God
I wish I believed in God. I also wish I believed in ghosts. Life would be more whimsical if I believed in past lives or soul mates or horoscopes. It would be easier to put decisions into Gods hands and trust that he would choose the right path for me. It would be simpler to accept people’s behavior if I could blame it on the location of Mars or the Moon. Life would be a little less scary if I believed something came after. I think I would find little joys in leaving offerings to the brownies and fairies.
I have tried to convince myself that there is always the possibility of the unknown. That I can believe with the inner child part of my brain even if the adult part knows it not real.
