It is not your job to be skinny
It is not your job to be the skinniest version of yourself. Or the fittest. Or the prettiest. Or the most attractive. Or the nicest.
You are not a “terrible person” for eating junk food. You are not “bad” for not working out. There is no morality around food or working out. You are not a bad person because your house is messy or because your laundry isn’t done.
Likewise, working out and eating ‘clean’ isn’t what is missing from your life.
Beating yourself up because you haven’t journaled in 3 months, haven’t worked out since January 19th, and your pantry is disorganized is only hurting you. It doesn’t benefit anyone.
Keeping half a wardrobe of clothes that you haven’t fit into in years isn’t ’motivation’, it’s a waste of space. Your body is not meant to fit into clothes, clothes are meant to fit your body. That is their entire purpose. You want to be healthy? Great, take steps to be healthy. Hating yourself isn’t healthy.
Buy clothing that fits your body as it is now and live your life.
You are not obligated to be the ‘perfect’ version of yourself. You just need to work on being a happy version of yourself.
